Policies:

Reservations and Advance Deposits for Island Place are processed online. You can check availability by clicking on the Availability/Reservations button above. Please read the following policies before continuing with your reservation:

Reservation Policies:

  • Minimum Stay: Minimum stay of 3 nights might be required during Holidays, Summer and Fall seasons. If only one night is available, this requirement will be waived.
  • Advance Deposit: An Advanced Deposit equal to 50% of the room charge (plus a 9% Maine Lodging tax) for the length of stay is required to confirm a reservation. One-night stays require an Advance Deposit equal to 100% of the charges to be confirmed.
  • Balance Due: The Balance Due on confirmed reservations is to be paid at Check-in. Acceptable methods of payment at Check-in are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash, and traveler's checks.

Cancellation Policies:

Island Place requires 7 days advanced notice to cancel any portion of a reservation.  If you are to cancel prior to the 7 days there is $25 cancellation fee.  Reservations canceled within the 7 days are subject to full room charges (including taxes) if the room cannot be re-rented.   

Miscellaneous Policies:

  • Check-In: Check-in any time after 3:00. Although we prefer that all guests arrive by 9 pm, if your travel plans require you to arrive later, please call to let us know the time you expect to arrive.
  • Check-Out: Check-out time is before 11 am each morning.
  • Reserved Parking: One reserved parking space is assigned to each room in Island Place’s private off-street parking lot.
  • Smoke-Free Policy: For the health and safety of Island Place guests and staff, the inn and porches are completely smoke-free and vape-free. If a guest chooses to disregard this policy we will charge the guest's credit card $500 to pay for the necessary cleaning.
  • *Extra Person - all Island Place guest rooms accommodate a maximum of 2 people.  (This includes infants and children).
  • Bicycles:  Island Place does NOT permit bicycles in any rooms.  An outdoor bicycle rack is provided for your convenience.  Please bring your own lock.
